We have a great opportunity for an experienced CAD Technician to join our Naas office. The successful candidate will assist professional and technical staff to produce designs and drawings in support of project deliverables. The successful candidate will work alongside mining engineers, geotechnical engineers, geologists, environmental scientists, and other professionals across a range of projects.
Key Responsibilities include but are not limited to: Assist senior CADD staff in the preparation of engineering plans, profiles, sections and details, for design, tender, construction and as-constructed drawing sets; and figures for proposals, reports and presentations, Collaborate with project scientists and engineers to provide a variety of figures using Excel and AutoCAD including: Site maps from topographic data and survey field notes Key plans, site plans, site design drawings and cross-sections. Groundwater flow diagrams, including performing various calculations; Develop general arrangement drawings from Engineers’ sketches and other design team member drawings and details, and develop sketches into co-ordinated details in accordance with specifications; Set up type and size of drawings and drawing numbering, and suggest methods of drawing production to ensure efficient methods of working; Utilize AutoCAD Civil 3D to modify 2d and 3D data in support of various ground engineering disciplines.
Job Requirements Successful completion of a Technician or Technology Diploma program that directly relates to job role; Experience of AutoCAD Civil 3D and its features; Knowledge of civil engineering and geo-environmental design principles; Proficient in the use of CorelDraw, Photoshop, PowerPoint and gINT; Advancing proficiency in ArcGIS and Vulcan; Enthusiasm to learn and work in a team environment; Good time management with the ability to work under own initiative to achieve targets and meet deadlines; Demonstrated problem-solving ability; Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, in English; Full driving licence with the willingness and ability to travel when required.
