CAD Detailer Airstream

Job description

Here at Airstream we take pride in our heritage and our leadership in the RV industry and beyond, but we are humble in knowing that we must always uphold the quality expectations of our customers. We’re looking for someone who is passionate about their work and understands the importance of both quality and speed. Someone who can help our engineering team fulfill its mission in creating products that deliver an unparalleled luxury travel experience.

A CAD Detailer at Airstream is responsible for the creation of 3D data in AutoDesk Inventor along with the part, assembly and install drawings that drive our new product development, BOM’s and manufacturing processes. They are paired with a CAD Designer to take new products from concept through to a successful production introduction. CAD Detailers also create part specifications and may be involved with the sourcing and pricing of components and making necessary revisions to drawings.

Success in this role requires a strong attention to detail and an ability to work in a fast- paced, cross-functional, environment. We are looking not just for someone who can detail a print, but for those individuals with an ability to visualize in 3-D, understand how to work efficiently with CAD data, and work as part of a team in large CAD assemblies. The CAD detailer should have a good understanding of the Vault data management system to ensure all data is captured and controlled correctly.

While a strong knowledge base of AutoDesk Inventor and Vault is important (or SolidWorks), a desire for continual learning is just as critical for long-term success at Airstream. Formal and informal training on the job will be provided.

This is an opportunity not just to apply your skills to the Airstream motorhome product line, but also to be part of a growing team and company. If you are someone that gets excited by this challenge, meets the requirements and wants to work for one of the world’s premier brands, we would be thrilled for you to apply for this role here at our Jackson Center, Ohio, headquarters.
